My advice is not to try to figure out all this stuff by yourself, but

Mike,
Triangle rendering isn't as simple as you might think -- you
need to make sure your triangles have the correct handedness (vertex
ordering), and if you are trying to create a surface, then you need to
blend the normals at each vertex.

For lots of image conversion/movie-making on your Windows PC --
including direct import of PNG sequences -- another piece of software to
consider is Logipole's "Konvertor" file convertor. I used this a while

I'd suggest using quicktime pro. I have both adobe premiere & qtpro and found
that qtpro did a superior job with much less hassle. qtpro can produce the

friendly). There is also a free package out there calle
The output format/compression really depends on the output device you plan
on delivering the final clip to. Don't go uncompressed unless you have a

So I have heard that adobe premiere is the best for making movies from
the frames. If I have the frames in .tga format, could anyone sugguest
settings for compression, format etc.

Scott's right,
Ray traced labels are currently not worth the trouble it takes
to create them. If you really need it, the "representations" demo does
this, and you can find the code in modules/pymol/wizard/demo.py in the
latest release (0.88).
But my recommendation is to do exactl

Hi,
Open the png file in photoshop or illustrator and add them. I don't
think PyMol can add ray traced labels yet.
