Have a pny 256mb thumb drive. Things are loading fine when the USB drive is inserted. However it is my mounting that is not working well. Every file system type I try, whether I format it on the windows side, make it ext3 or extended, neither will mount. Each error message tells me that it is a

ESD high cpu load

I just can't beat this, and can't obviously figure it out. ESD cpu load goes super high and gnome becomes basically unusable to me. Also I get no sound either. This has happened twice. I reinstalled and it worked for a bit of time, once I run updates and continue to use gnome this starts. HUP'
