I have three problems with the new Red Hat 8.0.
1. Networking on a lan. On several machines after upgrading or a clean install the
network gives a "Destination Host unreachable" message. Dropping back to RH 7.3
solves the problem or, in one case, re-installing RH 8.0 seems to solve the problem

Configuration of the network was done through the install GUI of RedHat to set the
hostname and IP address settings. The tools that gives the error is "ping
192.168.0.1" or one of the other addresses used other than the local ethernet IP
address.

When I fire up the Network Device Control Panel and go to configure eth0 I get the
following error. My PC does have a sis900 ethernet controller and it is working on
and off under RH8. Any ideas on best how to fix? Thanks Ray
"eth0 has an alias to module sis900 in modules.conf, instead of cur
