I've been running Phoebe (8.0.x) Beta for two or three months it seems.
Is there a production version due to be released soon?

I can burn an iso and its bootable. I'm not sure if its bootable
because of the iso or because of something cdrecord does.
I'd like to use a CD instead of a floppy to boot with in the event that
something happends to grub or the boot section of the MBR. How do I
create such a "magical" CD?

The gnome up2date notifier was red this morning so I upgraded my KDE
apps this morning. I made KDE my default session as it seems snappier
than gnome.
I would like to see if updates are required when I login but the
up2date icon that used to be on the bottom right of the screen isn't
there in KDE

up2date I noticed that KDE was snappier than GNOME so I went back to my
old friend, KDE.
I liked using the file drawer for apps that I use and didn't want to
clutter my panel. I clicked on the drawer and apps like an editor,

Yes, I have the camera working with gtkam fine. What I'd like to do
is send pic's to the memory card in the camera using Linux. Do you
know how I can do that?

For some reason the filename is wu.ftpd and it's in /usr/sbin/.
As far as I know (I'm just starting to play with FTP server) the
configure files are in /e
