you'll have to edit ~/.gkrellm2/user_config, changing "0" to "1"
for "set_wm_state_hack" (explained in more detail on
http://web.wt.net/~billw/gkrellm/Bugs.html).

haven't already.
BTW, a general RAM question; I notice you use(d) PC3200 DIMMs, and the
mobo is DDR 266MHz (PC2100) - unless it's overclocked... So higher speed
DDR DIMMs are generally backwards compatible with lower bus
You forgot to supply the "-i" (install) argument above. Or "-ivh" if you
want some visual feedback that rpm actually is doing its stuff:
rpm -ivh rp8.linux20.libc6.i386.cs2.rpm

Like Klaasjan Brand replied, it's more likely to be a drive problem than
an OS problem.
Check cabling/jumpers, clean the lens, see if there's a firmware update

There are some lists of corrupt CDs out there. I couldn't find that
specific CD, but there were some from the same artist and record label.
Google is your friend. See e.g:

Now do "rpm -e kernel- kernel-" to uninstall
the two old kernels from the example list above. When you have several
versions of the same package installed you need to let RPM know which
version(s) you want to be removed.

Mic, but
running gnome-volume-control again shows nothing selected.
Recording works in Windoze, so the hardware seems to be OK.
Any ideas?

Hey! Is this correct? AFAIK Payback so far only exists for AmigaOS and the ports are
work in progress at best. No announcement has been made about any Linux demo yet
AFAIK. Great if it's true though!

f the categories something has been placed.
Most importantly, an easily accessible GUI menu editor is simply
essential, and I just can't fathom how such a fundamental piece of a
desktop environment could have been left out in a consumer release.
