All, How can I create/write/read the various Unicode files(like UTF16-LE, UTF8, UTF16-BE) In Advanced Server 2.1 or RH 8.x/9.x? When I write a binary file using fputws(), the letter 'A' should be added As '00 41', but it only adds '41' when we see the file via hexdump. Any ideas? pointers

Hi, When trying to power off my computer, it hangs on "Power down." at the end and my computer does not switch off. I'm using a 2.4-18smp kernel. I've read it was not possible to use apm with smp kernels. Adding "apm=power-off" to kernel command line did not work. Is there a solution to this?
