Hello again:
No luck trying to obtain any way to connect to remote xdmcps using
gdmchooser. For this reason I had created the following shell script.
This script is called without parameters. Only will run correctly if all X
remote sessions are launched with xinit executions. In a few words, t

Totally agree, but this only was explained in the lightspeed way for an
user with RH that needs to connect to
Solaris servers using gdmchooser, and by default in this distro :0 is F7,
:1 F8... Is more like '...and if you don't

Yes, it's coming down now, but it will be hours before it's done.
Red Hat Linux 9 discussions are not appropriate for psyche-list. Please
move them to

Saqib,
I'm downloading shrike-i386-disc1.iso from RHN now using a broadband
connection. Everything appears to be running very smoothly with a
sustained speed of about 240 kbps at 08:30 CST (GMT-5).
I have a brand new Gateway 600YG2 laptop that is having trouble with the
x-server. There is a Radeon Moblity 9000 video card in it which is probed
fine. The LCD monitor, however, is not. I can not get the x windows system
to come up, if I run Xtest I am able to get an x window that works. Howe
I did not see the original reply. So is what you are saying that iscsi
is for network access to a scsi device and not related to scsi
emulation?

Hello all,
I am a long time user of RH and am facing two strange problems in RH-8,
which I have never come across in previous versions.
1. When I use Ctrl+Alt+F7 to switch from console back to X, I lose the
session, In fact when I switch to console itself I gets kicked back to X

it hasn't even been released yet and there are updates for it already:)
they released a sendmail upgrade today, and probably the last update ever
for 6.2.

I written up a close examination of Red Hat Linux 9. The review covers
three main categories:
* Architectural & behavioral changes
* Installer changes
* Changes to included software packages
This is a NOT a fluff ("the fonts are as pretty as Windows") review.
