If you want the quick way, get firestarter GTK 2 version. It is very
intuitive to get started
and once you are protected and management is happy I would strongly
recommend
you also learn about what it is firestarter is doing by following the
other suggestions and reading.

Assuming you mean setting up a firewall between the internet and a
private network, have a look www.shorewall.net. Otherwise more
information would be useful. "Security is a process, not a product" as
