I have had the same problem with an 8 port Belkin KVM, my main Linux
system is running Redhat 8. This problem has resulted in the panel
getting moved to the side which caused it to crash. (lots of fun fixing
that the first time.) What's funny is the 4 port unit I have works
reliably. I have not

John,
I don't have a Linksys KVM, but I had some issues with Red Hat (and
Solaris x86) when using KVM switches (Black Box, Protec and Belkin).
The problem I have experienced with both Gnome and KDE is that I lose
control of the mouse cursor when I go back to Linux (From 2000 or XP).
It is so unco
That's the same KVM switch I'm using, pretty much the same setup (only my
Linux box is running 7.0). The setup is OS independent, just use the
'Scroll Lock' key to switch between computers. The only issues I've had is
my Windows box can't tell that my Logitech mouse is wireless any more.
