ok out the original edits I did, commenting out runlevels 5 and 6.
I always just halt so I didn't notice that 6 was probably screwed up too.
At least this should be fixed, and heck, maybe someone else will do this one
day and find this post :)

illa's text URL input box, top of KDE's panel, sometimes
on the top border of window titles, etc.. Rarely goes through the entire
screen, in text, etc.. Just the edges of things.

freetype libs, and there was an extra set in /usr/X11R6/lib
