I know I've seen it go by but I can't find it.
How can I disable the automatic mounting of a CD when it is inserted?
Preferably, for all (ie default) users?
Could some one point me in the right direction?
Thanks

I'm having a strange problem that MUST be something silly.
I have migrated my RH 7.3 / Apache 1.3 sites to Apache 2.0 on RedHat 8.0.
I have done so by editing the original RH8 httpd.conf (ie I am not using
an Apache 1.3 config file or anything).
I had (and have) configured my defaults as follows

I have installed RH8 several times now and it has always detected the
NIC card (some required updated drivers later but it detected them).
Now I've hit a system where RH8 doesn't detect the NIC card at all.
(the system, as is, was operating fine under W2K so I know hw is working).
The system is a
