Well I've seen instances on my box, where I try to SSH into it from my

Thanks for the tip. I'll try disabling DMA and give that a whirl.

Gerard,
You will need 64 MB RAM to install in text mode and 128 MB to install in
GUI mode for RH 8.0. And I seriously doubt that your box would run RH 8
with a GUI desktop such as KDE or Gnome. I tried to install on a 200

Try running 'neat' from the command line. And see if it see's and installs
the driver. We used it here on a Notebook with wireless network and it
worked very well. It didn't install the driver from Linux install, but
running neat fixed that for us.

One of my system locked up almost every time I had moderate disk activity
with psyche and phoebe. After I disabled DMA for that disk, it didn't lock
up anymore. I also think it could be a hardware problem, but not sure.

Is there another way to create a boot flop for RH 8.0
I have lots of problems with doing this with rawrite on several MS pc's and several different diskettes.
Is there an easier way to install source for a module so that I can
debug with it? Installing the source RPM, bunzip'ing the source bundle
and then untar'ing it to a directory works, but this seems like a
common-enough situation that there should be an option to do this in
rpmbuild.
