nd tell SPSS to show
the variable names alphabetically. In PSPP it shows the variable labels instead
of the variable names. Is there any way to get it to show the variable names in
the interface?

en I click on OK I don't see any
indication that it has selected out the males. If I run a frequency
distribution for SEX I still get both males and females. SPSS will put a line
through the row number for the cases that have been filtered out but PSPP
doesn't. Thanks.
