My best guess is that the pspp.lang file, which specifies how to do
syntax highlighting, is somehow missing or misplaced on the machine
where text appears in all black. It's surprising; I don't know why
that would have happened.

Once you gave me the name of the file with the color codes as pspp.lang
I found it in C:\Program Files\PSPP\share\pspp .
Is this the correct place ?
And this is the content. Is there anything wrong in it ?
That's the right place and it looks like the right contents. My guess
that it was misplaced seems wrong.
Assuming these two machines both have the same version of PSPP, I
don't know what else to guess.

It seems that using pspp 2.0.0-pre3g2c9fe2 under Windows 11, the EDIT-FIND
command in the Syntax editor is not working. The dialog appears, but nothing is

right-click Clear Variables to delete that variable, but selecting more than
one variable will not allow me to delete them. Is that by design? I have a few
dozen to delete, so doing them one at a time is tedious. I would nor
That's just a missing feature, not any kind of intentional choice.
Thanks for mentioning it.
