VS is free to use and for a solo shop make money with. There are more
features in the paid-for versions and those all tie to working in teams
groups etc.
For all of the Mac and Linx folk there is a VS Code app that is a very lean
VS for creating code in but it will powershell/script the heck out

Visual Studio is free if that's what you mean. Visual Studio Code is free and
open source.

kind. Years ago they have the very cheap ISV program, iirc.
