I have a box running Postfix & MailScanner.
I'd like to be able to say "If a message comes from XYZ and has Word or
PDF attachments and they contain the word ABC, ".
I'm sure this can be done, I doubt it's a Postfix feature, but I'm
unsure of the best (and easiest for someone like myself) product
Just doing a bit of a sanity check/tidy-up on my Postfix box, I've not
had to go near it for ages as it all just works, but I'm checking a few
other things and I'm slowly reminding myself of various Postfix related

These are my current restrictions, I think the map names are indicative

After a little guidance on what those of you using Postfix as a gateway are
using for doing s/mime email encryption?
I did some digging and it seems you can get certificates that authenticate a
company for s/mime rather than needing to authenticate each individual using a
cert on their MUA.

at listserv software just for that.

domain.
One of the external parties who wants to sent to it has an SPF record in
place so of course in its current configuration the message is being
rejected by our SPF, and of course even if we allowed it, it would be

We may be getting a wildcard SSL cert shortly, which would allow us
under the licensing terms to use it on as many servers as we wanted.

I appreciate that it's hard to make up for the failings of other peoples
email/internet infrastructure, but I'm looking for options/suggestions
on how to deal with that old problem of "Blocking unwanted mail when the

Is it possible (for a novice who knows nothing about source code mods)
to customize the bounce generated by a message that is larger than the
size accepted under message_size_limit please?
Instead of simply saying "too large" we would like to add a sentence
saying "please visit http://xyx"; which
We run Postfix in front of an Exchange 2003 box. I currently run a cron
job every hour to pull a list of valid email addresses of users (and all
associated aliases) and Public Folder email addresses down from the
Exchange box.
Whilst we don't add/remove addresses terribly often, it's a guaranteed
