I'm fine with all of those other technologies but I think an email
server would be useful as well and it has its own benefits.
I do realize that networking would need to be "configured" to be able to
access emails on the local network, what I meant is that the other

I'm using Android instead of iOS.
However I would have other uses for such a local email server as well.
And I think Email gives me maximum flexibility with my options without
having to install extra software.
