I suspect that access of Squeezeplay to your local LMS is somehow blocked by the firewall of your Mac OS X system. I am not using Mac OS X, but on my Linux system I could solve a similar problem by temporarily disabling the firewall. I could then connect to LMS by manually entering the IP addres
