Thanks for this! Im now casting to my chromecast enabled speaker, from
Volumio LMS plug-in and works like a charm!
But I had to chose transcode to FLAC. I just want to know if the
transcode data gets saved? Or its only temporary? Should I be worried
for space? Its on a 64GB micro SD.

For the music itself, use an external USB drive. If you have an old SSD
drive, you could get a cheap enclosur
