Hi Gurudutta,
I would suggest you lookup yum for redhat , and also apt-get from redhat.
Even when you have got all the packages in place to install you can use
a good tool such as ezrpm.
Look it up.

You are to use the package installers for your distro
which will take care of dependencies.
