Simple and quick installation process is an important criterion in distro
selection IMO.
Most distros do application software installation through the OS installer
and unnecessarily elongate the process.
My personal favorite installers are those of NetBSD and Void Linux.

Another time was a surprising Hindi language choice during installation!!

Installation process of Mageia or Fedora & likes is much much better..
Anyway not here to discuss it...

Then Mandrake ~ Mandriva ~ Mageia
In between once or twice Manjaro , CentOS, Bodhi, and various Linux
distribut
