The multi-arch changes were proposed by the Debian Janitor which uses hints
from the multi-arch hinter AFAIK.
I'll try to understand why and report a bug where appropriate.

I’m working on updating ktp-common-internals to the latest upstream version
(19.12.1) among other reasons to fix FTBFS #949236.
I’m not very used to packaging or updating libraries and there are a couple of
symbol changes that I feel I need to ask for some review / help.
