I have tried to follow the instructions to manually install PHP on Windows
XP, using IIS and MySQL. I have been unable to test if PHP is installed
because when I try to open a PHP file in a browser (either firefox or IE6)
it launches Dreamweaver.
What should I try?

I would definitely upgrade your MySQL to at least 4.0.8, if you're set on

Thought that I should upgrade from PHP4.0 to 4.3 and so I did... But I ran
into trouble, as always. when ever I try to load an PHP page I get an alert
message saying:
"Unknown(): Unable to load dynamic library 'G:\PHP\extensions\php_zlib.dll'"
I really do hate php.ini... Why should all
