Hi.
I have just compiled the latest php4 on an ubuntu Plesk hardy server.
It already had the distro's version of PHP - (PHP 5.2.4-2ubuntu5.4 with
Suhosin-Patch 0.9.6.2), I installed PHP4 from source.
The idea being so that if apache calls a .php5 page it gets parsed by php5 -
normal .php pages t
This is just a test to see who bounces back at me.

Did you add the type handler to the apache conf file? If it's not
parsing your PHP code, this is probably because you didn't add it.

The correct command is exit but chances are that mysql probably thinks that
your trying to issue a multiple line command. You probably typed a quote
character and it's expecting the close quote but you can always just hit
ctrl-c and kill the mysql session.

If you've compiled it as a static apache module, you'll need to just
recompile apache without it. If you did it as a DSO, I believe you can just
delete it and remove the references to it. If you compiled it as a cgi
binary, just delete it. All 'make install' does is copy the newly compile
I don't particularly like the look of this patch... we should fix 304's
properly...

been solved
with a simple --enable- but I couldn't figure out what to
enable for the sapi_module symbol.
Any help would be much appreciated.
