Er looks like your compiler is missing some pretty fundamental stuff
there... suggest you (re)install it from CD.. or reinstall and select
'everything'
I am using slackware 9 and its ok until it comes to installing PHP with GD
lib with jpeg support...thats when the fun starts...

Have downloaded all the libs and tried almost everything I have come across

I seem to have narrowed it down to the following...

I want to know more about the Apache 2.0 integration with PHP.
Is Apache 2.0 still considered expiremental? I found a page for Apache 2
documentation on the php.net sight and it still reported it as experimental,
but I do not know if that page is constantly updated.
If Apache 2.0 is still experime

I have PHP 5 integrated with httpd 2.2 and had no problems. I used almost the same confiure flags as you except the --with-pdo. When I have included that path in past installations, something always broke. I never bothered to figure it out.

Iv'e been trying to install php on my machine, which already has apache and
mysql successfully installed. I did all the instructions in the install
file that pertained to my configuration, and when I got to access and
install script for a forum so that it can put tables in the mysql db, IE

I thought I had seen something in the docs about PHP needing to be on the
same drive as the web page, but I can't locate it. As it is, PHP is on C:,
as is the default web page, but the one for which I need PHP is on D:. Is

uploaded via a file upload control to 90x90 pixels for storage in a MySQL

I've made this work by mapping the PDF_ below to the corresponding pdf_ in
the /usr/local/lib/pdflib.a and removing the get_image_height and
get_image_width functions in ext/pdf/pdf.c
The question of course, is why did i have to do this, and what should I have

Use GCC. php4 compiles cleanly on hpux 10.20. make sure you have flex, bison
and preferably gmake.

I downloaded the windows binary zip from php.net on saturday and everything
you mention is in there. Perhaps you have a corrupted download?

Am trying to use Apache and PHP4 but keep getting Invalid URI in request GET
/phpinfo.php HTTP/1.1 when I try and view a php file.
Can anybody shed any light on this please. I'm using Windows 98,

I going wrong? The above
was done using the default ./configure command as described in the INSTALL
readme file for php4 tar distribution.
