Hi All,
I am trying to use MySQL from PHP. I get the error message: call to

Based on what I've read, I need to compile PHP with the
--use-mysql=/path/to/mysql option. This was not enough information to get
the compile to work. (I tried every directo

Been dealing with a very frustrating couple of days, and have hit a
wall. I had a working gallery2 installation, then upgraded mysqli, and
all hell broke loose.
The problem I'm having now is that php5 won't connect to the mysql
server. It's not a gallery thing, I've confirmed that I have the exact
that as a possibly solution from years ago, but PHP didn't even know what
that was apparently when I did it. Any idea how to get it compiled?
Also, I haven't used this list before, so I hope I'm posting correctly and
following any rules, which I couldn't find anywhere ;)
Thanks,
Joe Marty

Sounds like a DNS issue. Perhaps one or more of the DNS server that are
listed as authoritative for your domain are either not authoritative, or
returning old data. I would manua

list, and it would auto-kick auto-responses.
Sorry to play scrooge before Christmas, but this makes posting to this

Thanks,

I ran into a similar problem a long time ago and found that my issue was
that I had foolishly tried to recompile php5 into the same paths without
cleaning out the old php binaries. I don't know if this is what you are
doing but if it is then as a thought you might want to make sure that
a

errors. I am using gd-2.0.33-2, and the libraries (including libjpeg.a

this to work '--with-gd'.
Thanks in advance; and I wish all a Happy New Year

There is a security risk in using zlib-1.1.3. Upgrade to zlib-1.1.4; it
