Hi,
I am having trouble in building php on Solaris 9 with Informix. I installed
all the recommended packages including bison. m4, autoconf, automake,
libxml, glib.
Following is the configure command I ran:
./configure --with-informix=/export/home/informix/ids \
--with-apxs=/home/apac
Hi,
Can someone help me please.
I have installed PHP4 over and over, and my web server using different
configurations and this is my last hope.
I never had a problem until now, PHP mornally works like a dream for me.

A rehash of a problem I had earlier on Solaris7/Sparc - explained more
clearly
If I use the configure line below, I can configure no problem, but my make
dies with the issues below, however if I compile with the gd that was
installed previously on this system by specifiying --with-gd=/usr/local,
I managed to install php with no problems on several boxes, but one
machine has an issue (solaris 7 on sparc) using the build in GD library.
It is odd in that if I compare the output from "configure" between this
particular box, and another which had a successfull "make" there is no
issue.

Thanks for your quick response. I knew is was something simple like this
that I just wasn't getting right. This is daft, but when I ran "ldconfig"
on the command line in the /etc directory earlier today, nothing seemed
to happen, and is it "ldconfig" or "run ldconfig". Again, thanks! Lawonna

I was accessing the file directly. When I try requesting it via the webserver, I
get a 500 error with the following line in the error log:

httpd.conf contains
ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/php/"
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"
When I try to access a page, I'm asked if I want to open the file using php.exe
or save it to a disk.

previously ran pws and php4. Everything worked fine under pws. Now,
the php executes from the command line, but not from the browser. I've
followed all the installation instructions. Any suggestions?
