My usual configure line doesn't work with 5.2.8 (Worked with 5.2.3) it
ends in not recognising the --enable-memcache bit?
Same with 5.2.4. Anyone have any idea what to do?

make, and make install fine. However,
when I got to /usr/local/php5.2.5/bin, the php command is not there.
Any ideas?

I attempted to upgrade a server (SuSE 9.3 OS) running apache2 and php 4.3.10 to
php 5.2.0 a while back. At the time, I did not know that php5 no longer
included the mysql libraries by default. A few days ago, I was told that one
of the users on the server in question could no longer access the
work.
Anyone able to help?

I've recently compiled Apache 2.0.50 and PHP 5.0.1 on Solaris and can't seem
to get things to work. Apache is working just fine but I can't get it to
display PHP files properly. I've added the "AddType
applications/x-httpd-php .php" and the "AddType
applications/x-httpd-php-source .ph

hi i am running Apache version 2.x (latest version to date 06/06/03) I have installed
php as followed by install.txt and it will not read the .php files. I am trying to run
a .php Board (free of charge from www.phpbb.com) and i cannot run it. I just get a
Parent Directory.
To see for yourself
ave not been able to locate the php_gettext.dll file, and it
was suggested to try the libintl.dll file, but we have not had any
success with it. Can you please help us?

I have been having a very hard time compiling PHP 4.3.0 on Solaris 7 with
Apache 2.0.44 .
First I ran into the 'Output line too long' error, and fixed it by
installing and using gnu sed.
Using gcc 3.0.4 I get the following error:

Everything compiles file but apache cannot load the module hence cannot

Wondered if anyone experienced this under Windows XP ?:
Fresh server start: phpinfo() test works and page load completes.
On subsequent page refreshes, browser sticks on opening page and load never

Mac OS X uses DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH instead of LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
When dynamically linking libraries into PHP/Apache, it helps if that is set
to point to your lib directory.

If that is the case, I wonder if you are starting a different instance, or
you have forgotton the AddType headers in your httpd.conf file.

Also, I've found better luck using sh instead of the default tsh for
compling PHP.
