You absolutely *must* get acquainted with php.ini, as how it is configured
will tell you how you write (some of) your PHP. For example, always turn

Credit goes to Benjamin Tomhave for doing some googling for the link
(Feb. 7th). And I agree, sure ended a ton of pain and suffering. The
specfile is pret
for your specific
architecture, and you can tightly control what options are made and
installed. This includes directory layouts too. It slices! It dices!

You can now reference form variables with $_GET and $_POST,

There you will find updated RPMs for both apache2(httpd) and php-4.3.0.
It worked for me. HTH,

So you could start out with ODBC to use SQL/2000 for example, and switch in
the future to anything else if you found the need (Oracle, MySQL,
PostgreSQL..).

ust cannot figure out what
is going on this time around. I've heard that it was a gcc problem, and that
it was fixed in CVS... So, two questions:
1) What releases of PHP 4.3.x have successfully compiled on a RedHat 8
machine?
2) What were the configure options used?

Ok, sending from the home machine this time.
The problem: Installed RedHat8 with stock RPMs, and everything was fine.
Then I decided to upgrade Postgres to 7.3 (some things that I just
couldn't wait for). Then decided to upgrade to php 4.3.0.
Bt! Wrong answer!
So, the existing, previousl
.0, I'd wager that you would
be better off waiting for RPMs to be built for you. Maybe even by me ;^)
