Perhaps your jpeg dynamic libraries are not registered in /etc/ld.so.conf? Try the ldconfig command to regenerate the shared library cache in /etc/ld.so.cache from the ld.so search path.

Using both embedded and external GDs
Have downloaded all the libs and tried almost everything I have come across
on the net but nothing works...
I seem to have narrowed it down to the following...
./configure --with-[...
Er looks like your compiler is missing some pretty fundamental stuff
there... suggest you (re)install it from CD.. or reinstall and select
'everything'
I am using slackware 9 and its ok until it comes to installing PHP with GD
lib with jpeg support...thats when the fun starts...

Hi,
I installed PHP 4.3.4 on my Windows Server 2003.
Now the install creates the PHP.ini in c:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\WINDOWS
How can I get it so that it installs php.ini in C:\windows?

I've tried to speicify the localtion of this shared library as a configure
argument too, with not much more joy..
./configure --with-dom=/usr/local/lib/libxml2.so.2.4.21
Any idea's?

I recently installed PHP 4.3.1 with apache 1.3.27/mod_ssl. I'm having
problems accessing a simple php script ( ) over https. I
can access it over plain http.
I configured php with the following:
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars
--enable-force-cgi-re
I'm using imagecopyresized/resampled under PHP4.2.3 to convert an image
uploaded via a file upload control to 90x90 pixels for storage in a MySQL
database, but am finding when imagecopyresized or imagecopyresampled is used
to scale the image, the result is converted to greyscale.
