I'm trying to compile PHP 5.3.8 on CentOS 6 i386. Other complied applications
on this server are apache 2.2.19, perl 5.14.1, openssl 0.9.8, mod perl 2.0.5,
libiconv 1.14, and easysoft odbc to odbc bridge 2.0.0. PHP appears to configure
and build correctly, but when I run a make test it fails. Lo
I'm having a strange problem with PHP. I'm using source versions of
apache 2.2.6 and php 5.2.4.
Both compiled fine. Here is how I compiled them...

I have php-4.3.2-installer.exe and run it at home on my win2k machine and
all works fine with no additional work requried. Im trying to put it on my
work machine, i ran the install, selected the appropriate install option,
gave my default cgi-bin folder read, execute and script permission.

postfix MTA (2.0.3) with courier-imap (1.7.0)
I found a page describing how to setup uw-imap c-client library so that

I've recently re-configured my php build 4.0.6 to include mcrypt and mhash
functionality. After doing so, any of the Zend-encoded scripts on the server are not
displaying properly. It looks to be displaying the binary as a text file within the

I have read this same post a few times in this news group and have not seen
where anyone figured out what caused it. I also have sucesfully compiled
several other distro's on my Slackware 3.9 with 2.0.38 kernel so I am pretty
sure it is not a fault with my compiler. More likely an incompatible lin
