I cant seem to figure out what the problem is.
Here are the options I am using when I am installing PHP:
./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs
--with-ibm-db2=/home/db2inst1/sqllib

note, I am using the inbuilt GD, external MySQL, and using
"=/usr/local/lib" for my --with-png and --with-jpeg lines in my php
configure statement. For some reason it doesn't appear to find .h
files where it should be.

I installed PHP on Apache on Windows 98 and it's all working, simply put.
PHP renders the pages correctly however when trying to access a sub-portion
of a PHP page (ie. page.php?subportion=thisstuff) it still only displays the
default page. I have found NOTHING that explains how to get around this

One thing that I've ran into that causes this is you didn't 'make clean',
and/or stop apache. I've found that often i have to actually delete
libphp4.so from the libexec dir in apache for it to fully work.

things in the sense that other operating systems seem to. If you want to
remove apache, just delete it.

The correct command is exit but chances are that mysql probably thinks that
your trying to issue a multiple line command. You probably typed a quote
character and it's expecting the close quote but you can always just hit
ctrl-c and kill the mysql session.

you did this, then double check your mime types to make sure you have

Can anyone tell me what is truetype string function?
I got this from config:
checking whether to enable truetype string function in gd... no
Does it mean I cannot use functions like imagettftext()?
How do I need to do to enable this?

already trying to compile the whole thing, but I can only get it
to work when I config with --with-gd=[build dir] and nothing like /usr/lib
where it actaully is, would there be any furture problem related to this?
And is there anyway to fix this?

I'm fairly new to this, so I may be wrong, but I believe that you must send
the session start before sending any other data to the browser.
