Hi All,
I have been unable to find a direct answer to this question on the net
so I am asking here. I need a definitive answer for a client. Let me
know if this is the wrong place.
Is PHP 5 "officially" ready for production use, or should important
systems stick with PHP4?

Worked it out eventually.
What is obvious to everyone who has had anything to do with PHP before, not
being me, and is not actually explicitly mentioned anywhere in the php.net
doco that I have read, especially all the setup notes and tutorials, is

like "AddType application/x-httpd-php .php" (without the quotes) to
httpd.conf)
