When I run PHP 4.1.1's ./configure script, I see this partway down: --with-zlib-dir= Define the location of zlib install directory --with-zlib[=DIR] Include zlib support (requires zlib >= 1.0.9). DIR is the zlib install directory. That's a bug, right? -

Did you uninstall the php rpm before you installed from source? You could still be using the old rpm. Are you sure you have mysql installed? If you want to make this as simple as possible, uninstall the mandrake rpms for apache, php and mysql and then do the following: Download and install the
