Hi,
I'm having trouble getting PHP4 with Oracle8i support to work with
Apache 1.3.17.
When you try to start apache, only one copy of httpd is spawned (owned
by root), the process takes up about 85% of the cpu, it runs for about 5
secounds, and then dies without reporting any errors. If I start a

How do you set up the Netscape server to recognize the .php extension as

I have tried manually adding it to my ld.so.co.conf file and running

I've managed to compile, install, and run the CGI version of PHP4.0.4PL1 with Java
(Blackdown) support without any problems.
However, the APXS version has me stumped.
Compilation and installation went fine. I even removed /usr/local/lib/ between the CGI
and APXS installs (and verified the corre
I personally don't see this as a major problem, ASP and Cold Fusion do
things the same way. If you work the security end of things correctly,
people shouldn't be able to see your config file that you can include from
somewhere else . . . that people can't see or have a mimetype returned
properly.
I recently just started using PHP. While it is easy to use, their are some
very frightening security issues that I can't believe more people aren't
complaining about. Security issues that should scare any sane programmer
from using PHP. For instance, PHP scripts have to be world readable. Which
The incorrect file suffixes should be ok I think. I get those when I run
make and they're just warnings. Is there another error message above
this? I wouldn't think those incorrect file suffixes would cause make to
choke.

Hi All,
I did not receive a response, however found a bug report that solved the
problem. So here for you just in case you need it:
Recompile php adding:
--with-zlib
It all works a treat now.
