It's simply a depth of field issue. I go for the head, and at this
stop (5.6, I believe), there's not quite enough reach to get the
outer end of the opposite wing fully in focus. I haven't tried using
the 80-320 for this type of shot. I'm not sure if it focuses close

I shot my first wedding on Saturday. That was one hell of a learning
experience. Some family members who couldn't make it requested a few
photos right away, so I uploaded 5 this morning. Absolutely no editing
at all - straight from the camera, resized and converted to jpg.

I recently used it at my daughter Dressage show, which i posted a link IMSMC.
I looked at the action shots, and two of the head shots of our horse,
and they were all very sharp on the screen. I had been comparing it
using some landscape shots from the istD, and not really happy with
those, but now

Late reply, but here's my take.
The A 50mm lens can be used fully automatic on DSLR's.
The M's require you to press the green button to measure exposures.
Makes the A easier and faster to use.
Simple as that...

Sadly I've had Seagate, Samsung, WD and Maxtor drives fail at one time
or another. The only ones that failed under warranty were a Maxtor, and
a Western Digital, both died within a few weeks of purchase. Maxtor
said they'd replace the drive no questions asked. Western Digital

I had a Western Digital drive fail as well. I wouldn't touch one with
a ten foot pole. I've had good luck with Maxtor. Several of them
buzzing away on my system no. Four hard drive in all. The only others
that failed were in-case drives that came with my Mac computers. Ugly
little drives, i

"hard disk" that

have had mine a long time. I also have an 85 F1.8 and and an 85 F2.0
lens but the 1.4 is the one I always turn to, the 135 F.1.8 is also
