It's simply a depth of field issue. I go for the head, and at this stop (5.6, I believe), there's not quite enough reach to get the outer end of the opposite wing fully in focus. I haven't tried using the 80-320 for this type of shot. I'm not sure if it focuses close enough. Even the DA50-

Sadly I've had Seagate, Samsung, WD and Maxtor drives fail at one time or another. The only ones that failed under warranty were a Maxtor, and a Western Digital, both died within a few weeks of purchase. Maxtor said they'd replace the drive no questions asked. Western Digital needed an origi
