It's simply a depth of field issue. I go for the head, and at this  
stop (5.6, I believe), there's not quite enough reach to get the  
outer end of the opposite wing fully in focus. I haven't tried  using  
the 80-320 for this type of shot. I'm not sure if it focuses close  
enough. Even the DA50-200 is a stretch. This is only about 50% of the  
frame. I should use my Vivitar Series1 90/2.5 macro and the A2X-S  
converter. But I was out in the yard to take some pics of Grace in  
her pool and just grabbed this.
