Advice Sought on New Soundcard

2015-02-01 Thread Darran Ross
Hi List. I'd like to buy a new soundcard with one feature in particular, I'd like it to have an optical input. I'd be interested in any opinions from the list on a good solid make and or model to look at. I'm not looking for a top of the range card to do a magnificent job, a good job will do

One card I'm looking at that does have it is the Sewell Direct Sound Box pro. Now, I don't understand 50 pounds, but this here card is $67 U.S. I know the Soundblaster ones have what you want, but they can get pretty expensive. Oh yeah this Sound box pro does full 192 thousand KHZ 24 bit recording.

You might try looking at the fast track pro. It's not small, but it has midi in and out and coax digital in and out. It has a mike section and will work with total recorder. It also works with sound forge. The u s b is u s b 1 . I don't know why they didn't upgrade it. That's all

Ah okay. Yeah, that's very odd, why go down from 96 to 48. All though, 48 KHZ 24 bit must not be so shabby. I mean that's what all 7.1 Blu-Ray disks are. So thinking about it some more, I guess it doesn't suck as much as I perhaps made it sound like at first. -Original Message- From: Pc-a

Though I'll agree they should have upgraded it. Why not instead of dropping go full steam ahead? Full 192 KHZ 24 bit. Or hell even 32 bit. Now the always heard of but atleast I've never actually seen or heard of 64 bit would be just too super epic! -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mai
