Not that this will be much help.
I have a Desktop machine and - though I could put a Sound card into the thing -
it already comes with a multitude of inputs and outputs that render the
addition of a sound card absolutely pointless unless you have a specific need.
On my system I have analogue as
Yes it is Good News!
The new Eton Field radio is to be released in late June so the only question is
how good will it be?
I don't want to get my hopes up having seen some of the offerings from Grundig
in recent times though there's a slight hope that Grundig/Eton have learnt from
their mistake

Did you think it would be more expensive?
That's a U.S. price, Goodness Knows what it will be by the time it reaches the

I can't compare as I've not owned a Booksense however it does seem to me that
the Media Player part has some additional functionality, supports more File
Types by the sounds of things and you also have the Internet Radio facility but
to be perfectly honest about it, I would have preferred myself
It does! you didn't read the press release which clearly says Internet Radio.

that means. it also has a fm radio. it seams pretty interesting, but i
don't know if i'll drop the over $700 for the thing. its over $700
because they charge shipping. the other thing that bothers me is unlike

Only advantage in waiting a bit is that you hear what others are saying, read
reviews etc, I won't be able to get one for quite some time - even if I wanted
one - but - judging by the Youtube video I referred to earlier - we're going to

i agree with that. i will say that i'm impressed that they made the
hardrive 16gb so you don't have to run out and buy more sd cards.

true. i just hope they don't start making upgrades to the fermware and

Yeah, they did screw things up there for a while with the Voicesense, the
problems were dealt with over time but it did take a while, one could argue
that at least the problems were dealt with.

Really? In Australia this product would cost around 1 cheaper iPhone but that's
really not the point in my opinion.
Ask people with iPhones how successfully they've mastered OCR Apps for that
device and see what sort of an answer you get.
This isn't knocking the iPhone in any way at all, its ju
Anyone post the video? I guess I didn't pay attention to the past

Hello everyone. I'll have to see it and try it on documents that really
challenge solutions like Openbook, Kurzweil 1000 and the combination of the
IPhone 5S, Prizmo and the standscan pro. Results need to be much much better
than the other solutions before I would buy it.

Again, I refer you to the Youtube demo video, that was shot at some conference
earlier on this year.
I'm not quite sure whether its fair to compare this with Open book, I mean
we're not talking about a flat bed scanner or document feeder here are we.

other stuff.

that they want us to believe. my opinion anyway.

I never had a NFB reader but - as I understand it - didn't you need a phone of
some description to use it and didn't that device cost over 12,00 dollars?

I can quite understand that, one of the most sensitive AM radios on the planet
today, you can then buy the other product when your moneybox is full again to
read the CC 2E manual .

to operate the radio well at any rate.
