It's a subjective judgment, I know, but I find the B&W MM-1 speakers much
superior to the Bose I have, which I disconnected and put away as soon as I
heard the MM-1 quality. They're clear, the sound is full, the bass is
balanced, and I hear words and musical moments I hadn't heard before.

It's been a while since I ripped a CD, and I don't think I ever did it
in Windows 7, but I ended up just using Windows Media Player. It's free,
ubiquitous and I didn't find it that difficult to figure out, but that's
a relative term and WMP does take some getting used to.

Ok, I know this has been covered a million times, but I purchased a new
computer and moved to Windows 7 and would like to know of the simplest CD
burning program for 7. All I need to do is transfer CD's to my computer and
copy CD's, so I don't want anything elaborate or complicated.

Hello,
Thanks for the info.
I found the site hard to understand but ended up settling for a download of
what I think is a rather late version of the software. It was no problem
downloading from `older versions but couldn't figure how to get the latest one.

Hi I would like to give foobar 2000 a try for playing MP3 files and the
like.
But I would like to be able to have it be kind of like win amp.
Where you can stop and play and have some control over those features
and even a pause feature would be nice as well.
So how do you make this happen?

Have you gone in and set up your hot keys in FooBar yet? Here's a post
that was sent to this list a little while ago with some instructions on
how to set up hot keys in FooBar. It's a bit tedious, but if you take
the time, you can get FooBar to do pretty much what you want!

Cool! They are going totally pro. We'll just have to weight and see if this
thing will spit phantom power. IF it does, that's way cool. A pro recorder
that's totally accessable. Cool.

Here are the details on this Olympus LS-100, although there is no
mention here of speech output:

digital recorders with the addition of the LS-100 linear PCM audio
recorder. Aimed at musicians and audio enthusiasts, it comes
Hi Joe,
Could you tell me what ripper you have, and where I can get it.
I looked at the exact site, and a lot of it was in deuch, so I wasn't sure
what to do.
Winamps free format converters are not mp3, they have a wma, and an aac.
You have to pay for the mp3. isn't that strange.

I have the LS-7 and like it. I don't use it for recording music; I'm not a
musician, but I have used it to make audio recordings. The audio quality is
excellent, especially if you turn ON the central microphone. The LS-7 is about
the same size as the DM-series of Olympus recorders, and it has t
