Thank you. I wrote to Goldwave, hoping they could help.
I didn't know that you can't use an external USB CD drive with Window's XP.
Just in case anybody ever has the same problem, I have pasted Goldwave's
answer to my problem.

Hmmm, I hadn't heard this either. I know that this has nothing to do
specifically with Goldwave, but I did confront a somewhat frustrating
problem when using CDEX to rip from cds with my HP external USB drive
for the first time. I was trying to make use of the HP driver with
CDEX, and ultimatel
I can't speak for the others but the Zoom H1 certainly doesn't have this
feature and I don't know any that do.
I have a Zoom H4 here and I don't think it even has that.

Hi Donald, from my limited knowledge I did get one of these last week.
Right click the video ts folder direct and you should be offered the various
players to use in your machine.

Is anyone using Total Recorder on an Assues EEEPC 1005 Netbook running Windows
7? I'm having a few problems here which I'd be interested in opinions on.
Okay, if I launch Total Recorder it launches fine. If I close it for whatever
reason and relaunch I Hear "Untitled Total Recorde
The Olympus dm520 has timer recording but the function does not talk so
probably is hard to use. I haven't even tried it because I don't want to
put mine into a unusable state.

In the tutorials Total recorder was able to stream from the net in windows
xp and we could use our screen readers while the streaming was going on but
with the right settings total recorder would not record the screen reader.
I want to know, is it absolutely true that this can not be done
