Hello, just a bit more clarification. The recorder under discussion
takes micro-SD cards, which are different from mini-SD cards. The micro SD
cards used in the new Olympus DM4 and the new Zoom H1 are the smaller of the
two types. So the micro sd is the smallest, the mini sd is a bit bigg
Hello all,
I have a Total Recorder license, but it doesn't mean to say I can't try
other products .
I thought I would give Replay A/V a try. It's nice and I am hoping I can
capture Youtube videos and save them to a compatible audio format, for
example. I like the fact the demo version is fully
Matthew, do you know about the h1 as yet?,

What about splitting your files manually? These days I'm on Mac more than
windows, but I think MP3 Direct Cut would work for you. You can record, edit
and split MP3s. It's freeware, so you might want to give it a try.

One final note on the thread that I started last weekend. Apple has agreed to
let me pay the difference and upgrade to the 32 gig iPod touch, while letting
me return the 8 gig model. As mentioned here, the 32 and 64 gig iPod touches
are Generation 3 and can therefore be used with Voiceover. The
I'm running GoldWave 5.5. It was working fine until today. Now it is not
recording when "delayed recording level activated" is selected. When this is
deselected it records just fine. Has anyone a solution to this problem?

Hello, since the H1 hasn't been released in the States yet, I have
no info other than from the Amazon product page and from the company's page.
We'll just have to wait and see.

Good idea Larry, but say I leave TotalRecorder recording 6 hours...
I'll have about a 700Meg MP3 file created.
I would need to open it up in TotalRecorder and manually place split
points at the start and end of each track. Split them up and hope I
know the artist name and title to edit them pr
As far as i know, you can record evrything from your computer by Soundforge 9.0.

Hello Pall,
I don't know about stand alone XLR to USB adapter converters.
But if you really want to make voice recordings using an XLR microphone, you
can use a USB mixer that has XLR mic inputs on it.
My best regards.
John.

Thanks John. I know about this but my idea is sort of keep it simple as much
as possible. I am not a musician, I don't need any fancy stuff but something
good enough to make reasonable voice recordings. I got two mics sitting
here, one is Shure SM58 (dynamic) and another Apex 460 (condenser) and wa

Absolutely, there is. Do you think that I'd make out Shure X2U XLR to USB

Bob I think there is. I seem to remember that it is called the Mic Mate made
by MXL, a Chinese maker of microphones. It supplies phantom power to your
condenser microphone from the USB port. that may work for Paul. try looking
for it on Amazon.

Do you think that your microphone is going to work with it? The mixer sounds
like a better idea!
