I'm not sure if this is right, but for voice recordings, maybe it should be

Hi,
I have no idea where you pulled this info, but a cd is not 128k
your bit was should be 64kbps and your sampling rate really should be no
lower than 44100KHZ its the best quality and I believe that quality over

Hi, regarding the winamp problem with c for pause and v for stop not
working, It sounds like to me that either you are running an older version
of winamp on windows seven if that is what you are using or winamp needs to
be reinstalled.

Hello there. Try and see if it is set to anything other than classic
skin. Hit control p for preferences in win amp and hit s for skins. Make
sure it is set on classic. if it isn't it won't read or work right when
it is on classic just hit enter to close preferences.

you need a plug in called Inlerec. If you would like I can send it to

winamp plug in folder. Then when you want to use it in the playlist
editor just hit control l to open location and type in linerec:// the

The sampling rate doesn't make a difference in the size of the file,
so there shouldn't be any consideration to go below 44. I've seen a
lot of files encoded at 22 because the person thought it would halve

Hi Robert,
Maybe the answer is to get a portable media player that plays FLAC and
other file types. The ones we sell do. Take a look at my signature

Hi. Thanks fore all the suggestions. I've experimented with a lot of
combinations over the years, and you can hear the difference. I guess what I'm
asking, is how low can you get away with and still have acceptable voice
quality. I guess that's an impossible question to answer since not everyone

Winamp doesn't. Windows Media doesn't. Sound Forge might, but that's
overkill. Ditto Sonar. Renaming them to .AIFF doesn't help. Anybody
know how to play these?

Hi steve, and good evening!
I know how to get winamp to play aiff files.
you have to fix this in the prefferences and go to filetypes.
Hope this helps, I know that Chrissie has shown this on the last innovations
as well, I think you can go there and listen to it.

It already plays .aiff files, he is asking about .aif files (with one f).
There are some plugins if you look on google that supposedly will work but I
can't vouch for them since I haven't tried them.
