Hi!
I like using my Humanware Victor Stream for listening to podcasts and
program recordings made by Replay AV when away from home.
The problem is that it takes some time sifting through Juice's downloads
and RAV's recording first finding the mp3 files and then copying them into
a folder which
Could be no one has an answer to this since I haven't heard one, but I
thought I'd throw it out here again to see if any new people might have a
clue.
Hi, all! We installed a second hard drive (internal, I think it's made by
Seagate or that's its name) so that we'd have a bunch of extra storage.
Hi, all! Hope this is simple: How do I get audio to come from my computer
into my bluetooth headphones? Supposedly my PC is seeing the bluetooth
headphones but my external sound card is where I still hear sound. Oh, and
of course, the bluetooth headphones are turned on. Smile!
Peace,
Kathy

This may seen too obvious to ask, but did you move some of the files back
to the main hd and see how they play now.
If they still stutter, then the problem won't lie with the secondary hard
drive.
If they don't stutter, this would confirm the initial diagnosis.
Is this secondary drive a 7
Kathy if these bluetooth headphones are for PC or audio equipment then you

>Good Morning,
I'm looking for a simple accessible program that will help me sort
all of my mp3 files into a text document. Any suggestions? I have
over 5000 files that are categorized into artist/album and so on but
I'm afraid I may have a few duplicates Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi all
I'm demoing Sonar here, but have the following question:
When I import various file types e.g. wav, flac, and wma into Sonar, it
handles the files okay.
However, when I import any mp3 file, regardless of bit rate and so on, it
doesn't play the file, all it does, is to play a sort of static

Do you just want to sort your MP3 files into a text file or
do you want to know which ones are duplicates as well?
There is a little program called dirlist that will list and
sort files in directories but it won't let you know of
duplicates. It's much like the DOS DIR command.

Hi, Mike and Doc and everyone!
No, Mike, that is a great question. Actually, yes, I did move an audio
file back to my C drive and it sounds fine.
Could you guys or anyone point me to how to deal with these jumpers? A
friend was also talking about some possible IRQ conflict. These things are

I agree with Bruce on this one.
Given that the purpose of the VR Stream is hardly as a recording device,
it actually does a rather decent job and acceptible in noncritical
recording situations.

No, it can't. I believe it records at 20 kbps, mono. However the mic is
really really sensitive. I record things starting (cars etc), and it doesn't
sound half bad.

Do you know if the new hard drive is on the primary IDE
channel as a slave to the boot drive? If your computer is
not more than a few years old this should work. Perhaps your
boot drive is being constantly accessed by something and not
allowing quick access to the new hard drive. However, yo
To answer some questions and clarify my view on posting

I just picked up a sony at crutchfield for !299. It is a 5 disc cd
changer with a cd copier. You can probably find other brands
cheaper. My equipment is sony however and I just wanted it to match
the rest of my equipment.

Hello,
I bought a machine that was sat up like that about 4 years ago.
It does record from CD to CD.
But however, it won't make copies of store bought CD's.
But if you still want to do that with that unit, run a pare of RCA cables
from the record out of your stereo receiver and in to the record in
In my previous message, in using Rick's podcasts as an
example, I should have added that they are audio related and
relevant to the list purpose.

Wow, that really does sound neat. How does it work- do you press a button to
copy and it coppies the cd to another cd- or does it have some sort of hard

Hi:

Hello List Members,
I am thinking about getting an ipod.
The one that I have my mind sat on, is the Apple Nano 8 gig.
My question is, how user friendly is the Apple Nano for blind people?
And also, would Rock Box make it more user friendly for me?
Thanks in advance.
My best regards.
John.

Yes exactly, I only announce podcasts and demos here that are relevant to
the list and I generally will only post the message once to the group.

Yes, rockbox makes the nano a lot more user friendly. I have an ipod video
30 gb here, but its basically the same thing.
And now that the new rockbox installer is out, no more of that going into
the command prompt; its all done for you, and its very painless. voices can

I bet that machine is slow as all heck. it probably burns at about 4 x or

High Garry,
That is the reason I didn't keep it for very long.
And, I couldn't do what I wanted to do with it right out of the box.
Even the user's manual said you couldn't copy store bought CD's.
This is why I started doing all of my CD copying on my computer.
John.

I was fortunate to have bought an older Sony cd recorder. it works, but I
haven't used it for years. with a copier like Addonics, you don't have to
press any finalize buttons. just put the source and destination discs in the
machine and away it goes. usually it takes three minutes to have a copy

it is a matter of preference, sometimes in certain situations you want a
