hello list,
recently i have thaught about making some remixes for personal enjoyment. i can
use goldwave to put parts of tracks together and get free loops to add to the
track. how ever, i have a question.
i think i know the answer, but i may not.
is there anyway to split a standard mp3 or wav tr
Try the Phillips AZ1826. It has a radio, cd and a USB port so you can play
MP3 and WMA tracks off a USB drive.
Cost is about $100 (US). However, not sure if it is available in north
America.
A google search could tell you more.

If I take an MP3 recording, put it in Sound Forge, then save it again at the
same bit rate, will it degrade in quality each time I save it ?
I was told this, and thought that if it was saved at the same rate, it would
stay the same quality?

For some unknown reason, the only program I can use for ripping is Windows
Media Player 11.
I've tried both CDex and Exact Audio Copy. The files will only compress in
Windows Media Player.

I don't see why, unless it keeps on compressing the current bitrate. BUt
that doesn't really make sense. I mean, it should stay the same quolity, but
just make sure you don't downgrade the current bitrate, or move it up,
otherwise you'll just get a bigger file size and the same quolity as when
I absolutely love rockbox. I have a 30 gb ipod video and, while rockbox
doesn't run as long as the orriginal firmware, it speaks song names to you,
and is really a good sounding system. However, newer ipods aren't supported;
you'll have to look for an ipod video, nano, etc.

I find no feature in the Windows Media Player ripping program that's not
accessible. What problems are you having? You could also try express rip by
nch swift. While it's no more accessible, I've ripped quite a few disks
which didn't work with WMP. particularly mixed content CD's.
