While the volume levels were correct all along, what caused the problem
was that the appropriate setting required for recording wasn't checked.
For the benefit of readers, here is how I stumbled upon the solution.
Knowing that apparently nothing would record, I decided to attempt to hav

Hi. My First post to this list.
As subject says, I'm using Sony Sound Forge 7. Little did I realise
the MP3 codec or whatever it is must be registered after so many uses.
The problem? The computer SF7's is on is not connected to the
internet at present.
So, my question is: can anyone think
RedButton is a program, sold through
www.radiotime.com
designed to record radio stations that stream via the net.
There is a fully functioning 14-day trial version which can be converted
into a permanent version for just under $30.

I bought the one gig creative Zen stone this weekend and can't get it to play.
I hooked it up to my computer all night and pasted a book onto the drive.

Hi Lesley.
A common problem that people have found with the zen stone is not waiting
long enough for it to start playing. Hold the centre play button in for 3
seconds and then wait for 15 to 20 seconds for it to start playing. Make
sure the volume isn't turned right down and make sure your ea

Hi
Apologies if it seems that I've asked something like this before. I have for a
grander scale project for streaming radio on the net. Now however I'm looking
for something simpler.
I wish to make simple DJ'd music programmes with a bit of chat. I need to be
able to cue up the music and be able

Part of the solution, how I avoid having others hear JAWS unless I

you don't need the creative lite program. you can use windows explorer to place
MP3 or WMA files on the player. to my knowledge the library files won't play on
the Zen stone. if you download an overdrive book and transfer the book to the

Hi Dean
It's more the fact that when you are recording on the computer it can also
record the Jaws, although I take the point about using headphones. I think
I'll have to use 2 soundcards, one specifically for Jaws.
Thanks for your response.
