I wouldn't attempt downloading podcasts via a dial-up.
And partially downloaded podcasts or failed downloads are worthless and
more often than not an indication of a problem not of Juice but the sender
itself.
For instance, Juice has been unable to successfully download podcasts of 2

This is basically good news.
Now for the question that someone can address:
I have iTunes 7.1 and WE6.0 on my xp system. So how do I manually force
iTunes to search for latest shows it is subscribed to.
Right now, this seems hit or miss.
I should point out that I only use iTunes for podc
I agree. Trees stand because when a strong wind blows, their branches have
the ability to bend a little. Because I use an FTP client in my audio work,
many moons ago my first thought would have been to write or post to a list
to ask about which FTP client should I use or try to get help with a

Tate,
The FTP discussion was straying into how to use various FTP
programs and not discussing uploading and downloading audio.
Otherwise I wouldn't have said it was off topic.
The way to use a particular program would be more appropriate
to discuss on a general Windows list.

Chuck,
It has nothing to do with bending. It has to do with
breaking. When a discussion gets away from the intent of a
list it continues to go further and further off topic and
people unsubscribe.

I had a copy but cannot find it.
I see on the net .pdf which I can convert to text. Perhaps there is a version
somewhere that is converted and formatted ideally for reading with speech.
Pointers please!

I'm using a Hauppauge psi card and the software works fine.
I did write some scripts so that messages would be announced as to station
name and call letters when arrowing through the stations but that wasn't
really needed if you know your channels.

Hi Jon,
Does the Hauppauge work with digital cable? If you're using it with digital
cable, which provider?

Hi Darrell,
I'm not sure about digital cable, I just have basic hooked directly into the
card which is 125 channel. My guess is that a converter box going into the
card set to the appropriate channel like in the old Vcr days would act
similarly.

Hi Jon,
Yep, and, once you do that, you lost almost all advantages of doing this in
the first place since the channels must then be changed at the box. Bummer.
Thanks.

Hello Darrel, I liked your review of the PlexTech Book Reader review on Main
Menu. While you did the review, did you have a little bit of a cold when you
did the review?

Hi Sky,
Yeah. Probably so. The performance of the Plustek Book Reader is
unfortunate, given the absolutely relevolutionary OpticBook 3600 scanner,
which I continue to recommend especially for those who need to scan a lot of
books.

I didn't mind hearing a bit of the cold that you had in the review, sounds
almost like the one I have now.

The subject of Ipods seems to have been discussed allot here lately

I don't think you need to worry too much about accessibility at the computer
end, since mosrt players such as winamp and windows media player now seem to
cater for ipods and other players. It is more to do with the accessibility
of the player itself. I have a creative zen, and it has a 30gb drive
Thanks for this and as you say, its just a matter of remembering
what's on the player and you can hook the player up to your PC or Mac
to find out, now I'm sure I read somewhere that Ipods could immit a
click when a menu option was changed or when you ran your finger
round the wheel, anyone
i'v thort about getting a zen can you cut and past the audio on to them?

This is true. They do emit a small click, but you'd probably have to take
your earphones out to hear it.

Carl,
You can do this. You can either purchase notmad explorer, or if you use the
plays for sure drivers, you can use it like a detachable hard drive on your
computer.

Tom, since I was the one who posed the question, I have to tell you that you
apparently did not read my question very carefully. I was NOT asking about
how to use an FTP client. I simply wanted info on FTP clients that were
accessible. I've been on many e-mail lists, and I've never seen a mod
