Can anyone give me any advice regarding the Optic Cable connection, on the
above card, and how to best use this please.

my son used the optical socket on the front of the soundblaster last week to
give me a connection to my amplifier.
It was as easy as plugging the cable into the front and plugging the other
end into the amp, and there it was.

but my amp wasn't cheap, to me at least. It's a sony audio video amp which
is now discontinued, but sony still produce amps with an optical
input/output, but they are over £300.
however the sony sales are on at the moment so you may get a bit off that
price. sorry I can't help on ho
why, not just set the sound card to line in and then run a chord to the
line in on the amp then to the sound card. meanning take the line out source
and then put it into the computer via the line in?
