Thanks, but I'm not sure I get it. What does that mean, if anything, to the
individual user?

I agree. We had a Milestone for about 20 minutes, grin. Took it out
of the box and played with it a bit, couldn't seem to get it to do
much so we packed it back up and sent it back. I've spent a bit more
time on the iPod but it's looking like that one may go back too.

The thing with the Ipod is the Itunes software which isn't real accessible
without paying for scripts. Also, if you were going to put Rockbox on, you
would lose the ability to play stuff purchased on the Itunes store and other
formats Apple put in it.

Do you have to get sighted assistance to get the serial number off the Ipod
needed to register it with Apple so that it works?

Hi Brent,
you don't need iTunes at all, if you use Anapod.
you have to buy Anapod, which has 3 different prices.
They are $20.00, $25.00, and $30.00. The $30.00 one will work with all
iPods.

Maybe you can download Nabster, and buy your music from there.

Hi Ted.
To the general users it really means nothing at all as you would only really
be able to change the encoder software if you were a very skilled programmer
with a degree in psycho acoustics. When software is open source it may be

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a PC card one can plug
into a laptop that provides a radio and TV tuner, or two cards one for
radio and one for TV that can be used with JFW 7.0? Recording isn't that
important, just the reception in the first place.
Thanks

A person would be much better off to take the same amount of money they would
pay for a Milestone and purchase a Book Port at the same price.
