Remove Jaws 7 intirely also the hidden files, and reinstall.

I've heard that vbr is actually better for ripping than vbr!

But I've heard that with vbr, you do get a smaller file, but the nature of
variable bit rates is that you are supposed to get higher quality, despite
the smaller size!

Although I cannot prove it, my ears suggest that this is true in
theory but not in reality. There are some purists on this and
other lists who think that because mp3 or ogg or wma as well as
others represent a so called "lossy format," that using any such
format makes it a substandard recordin
I had a similar problem once. It was probably over kill, but I ended up
reinstalling my sound card drivers to fix it. Once I did, I discovered a
volume control in my sound card driver, which probably would have fixed
the problem for me in the first place. Have you looked around for a

As mentioned in the subject line I'm looking and hope someone has an idea.

I'm trying to fix Winamp 5.13 to play my Window's Media files when it
requires Window's Media player. I can't get it to switch to Window's Media
player. I've tried unselecting asf and it still won't play in Window's
Media player. I also tried selecting wma and I still can't use Window's

Lately when ripping CD's, I use something called vbr/abr! The abr means
average bit rate. I think this is supposed to be better than vbr, because
it tries to find the average bit rate for better quality!
